How to customise your Iphone apps + the new IOS 14 update.

Hi angels, back again but with something different. I asked you if you wanted a blog post on how to customise your iPhone apps + the new IOS 14 update, and some of you voted you need help, and some of you voted yes. So, here it is!

I've known how to customise iPhone apps for a couple of months but not really played around with it as much as I'd like to so having a new update has made me want to make my phone look pretty.

Recently Apple have done a huge update which if you didn't know it's called IOS 14. They have brung out some amazing new features, and things that make everything stand out. I personally love this new update and think it's perfect. For those who like all things pretty like me, you'll love this new update and blog post on how to style your iPhone.

It is all done by the app called "shortcuts", this app actually comes with the iPhone itself. Shortcuts essentially changes your original app icons to something much prettier and to your aesthetic which I think is fabulous. It's enterally up to you what photos you choose to set as, and there is so many places to find the photos you're after. I personally go to Pinterest for all photos but the photos on the app icons are actually from Instagram by an account called "@helen.mint" I think her feed is unbelievably gorgeous and definitely fits well with my brand.

The steps to a much more prettier phone:

First thing's first, open the "shortcuts" app and tap the (+) in the top right hand corner. This will then bring you to the "new shortcut" option. Tap the three dots in the top right corner. Click and type "open app" and then click the link/icon you wish to change

Add your shortcut name and click "add to home screen". This will then bring you to the next step. Tap "choose photo" to add the image you want and add the name you'd like. For the pretty font that i used, click this link. All you need to do is type in the text you'd like, copy and then paste.

After adding a photo and name, proceed and tap "add" on the top right hand corner and click "done" and then "add action". After you have completed all these steps, head to your home screen and you will find your new app icon.

I hope I've managed to explain it okay, and not miss any crucial parts. If I have missed something please ping me an email at sholaloveblogs@gmail.com! I can't wait to see what you come up with, and if my post helped. If you would like, you can send me a message on Instagram

With love always, Shola x x x
